How Chazak Rescue Is Changing Lives

Fighting was intense. Adults and children alike were being used as human shields to protect Isis personnel. Stationed only a few miles away, we were within eyesight of daily bombings.

Slowly the Iraqi army began pushing through Mosul, freeing people from Isis control. We began building relationships with local residents and soldiers. We asked what we could do to help.

The answer was clear. People were being shot. The local doctor in charge wanted our help.

There was just one problem. Our team didn’t have medical training.

Today, we’re calling this generation to rise to the challenge. We are equipping young people with the necessary training and experience to take the Gospel straight into the front lines.

Lead A Team: You Set the Standard (intro)

The Four Step Process

Funding

In addition to receiving funds from generous partners like you, we utilize the following methods for raising support:

1. Chazak-owned and run businesses (Deadwood Outfitters & Impact Thrift)
2. Yearly tuition from Cadets
3. Applying for available grants

Planning and Distribution

On a monthly basis, we set aside funds for both operational and training deployments. This helps to ensure that we can continue sending teams to reach the lost. Donors have the option of designating funds towards deplyments, each Cadet class, and other funding campaigns.

Training and Sending Teams

Chazak Academy is structured in a way to bring about significant and positive change for Cadets in body, soul and spirit. This is all done through their development as a team so that when the time comes for them to deploy, they will have already understood what serving as a team looks like.

After care

Through training or deployment with Chazak, Cadets and Guardians have the very real possibility of being exposed to traumatic scenes and scenarios. We do not take this lightly. It is our goal to care for each individual even after their time with Chazak may come to an end.

Financial overview

We plan for our training program to be self-funded by 2030 through tuition, grants, scholarships, and the Chazak Foundation. We do not require our staff to raise their own support. Rather, we provide each of our staff with a fair wage sufficient to cover standard housing and living expenses.

The following is our projected budget for 2024-2025.

$777,309
